Let me show you something that genuinely blows my mind.
We’ve been building an AI voice agent for Conquest Equipment, a commercial cleaning equipment hire business. In this video, I put it to the test with a real inbound call. Someone wanting to hire a street sweeper. No script. No human stepping in. Just the AI doing its thing.
Here’s how it played out.
A full sales call, handled start to finish
The customer rings up looking to hire a sweeper. The agent doesn’t fumble. It qualifies the enquiry like your best rep would:
- How big is the car park? 8,000 square metres.
- What’s the floor surface? Rough concrete.
- What dates do you need it? Next Thursday and Friday.
- Delivery or pickup, and whereabouts? Delivery, Brisbane.
From there, it recommends the right machine – a large ride-on sweeper at around $578 a day plus GST. Then it grabs the customer’s name, phone, and email, reads them back to confirm, and fires a complete quote straight to the inbox.
All of that. Zero human involvement.
Why this matters
For years, “AI receptionist” meant a bot that took a message. Those days are over. This is an AI sales agent, it qualifies, recommends, prices, and quotes.
And here’s the part most businesses miss, roughly 30% of enquiries land after hours. That’s when the phone rings out, the lead goes cold, and the deal quietly walks to your competitor. A 24/7 voice agent answers every single one of those calls in seconds, day or night, and turns them into booked quotes.
It clarifies everything. It qualifies properly. It never has a bad Monday. It’s good enough to roll out today and what’s coming in the next few months is even more impressive.
If you’re losing leads to slow responses or after-hours dead zones, this is what the fix looks like.
